DJ Rife, aka Burlington's Jérémie Meli also produces a ton of cloud beats as Jay ATTiK. He often appears in his tracks as Slang Saiyan, his vocal alter ego.

 

A low-key guy, Meli has been uploading beats to SoundCloud multiple times a week for a couple of years. His production relies on a comfy blend of nostalgia and forward motion. It's experimental, in the fundamental practice of methodically combining elements like samples and synths to form a new compound. Now in LA he’s looking to create and form a newly different compound.

 

Jay was born Jérémie Meli, the third of six children in the capital city of Kinshasa, Congo. Growing up he liked to dance, draw and experiment on things. Influenced from the chill low key vibe of His town, his ear and love for music went above the clouds.

Jay as of late has been on a mission. He started by making moves from Vermont to LA. By also incorporating his tradition he plans to create the blending experimental world effect because it represents who he is...a mysterious blend. Currently enrolled in Musicians Institute, where one of his influences Anderson Paak also attended, Jay has much in store to come, stay tuned.
